What You Need To Know About Endometriosis

Endometriosis is a common health issue in women which is also called ‘Endo’. This health condition is named from endometrium which is a tissue that normally lines up the uterus or womb.

Women’s life has always been challenging both in terms of mental and physical health. They go through various health changes throughout their life which affect their health in different ways. There’s one of the most common health conditions in women is called endometriosis but it is known by only a few women.

Endometriosis is a common health issue in women which is also called ‘Endo’. This health condition is named from endometrium which is a tissue that normally lines up the uterus or womb. This disease happens when this lined-up tissue grows outside of the uterus or womb where it doesn’t belong.

Most commonly endometriosis is found in these areas:

1- Outer surface of the uterus

2- Fallopian tubes

3- Ovaries

4- Tissues that hold the uterus in place

Bearing pain is also the most common thing for women but one of these pain can be the symptoms of endometriosis which includes:

  • Women with endometriosis may go through severe or minor pain such as period cramps, Chronic pain in the lower back or pelvis, Pain during or after sex, pain during urination and in periods.
  • Stomach problems such as constipation, Nausea during periods, bloating, diarrhea etc.
  • Infertility

Endometriosis can happen in any girl or woman who is having menstruation but it can happen most commonly to women who are in their 30s and 40s.

According to doctors, endometriosis can’t be prevented but women can have some precautions to avoid developing the disease. To lower the chances of developing this disease women should exercise daily and should avoid high amounts of alcohol. Also, women should be aware of their health conditions and by seeing any of the mentioned symptoms they should consult with their doctor as soon as possible. This disease can also be a consequence of regularly taking birth control pills that is why it is suggested that women should avoid taking those pills or should consult with their doctors before using it or how much they should use them.

Endometriosis can’t be cured but the symptoms can be treated with various medicines. If you develop endometriosis first and most important thing to do is to talk to your doctor because your doctor can suggest the best suitable treatment according to your present health condition and history of your health. To find out or to confirm the disease your doctor will talk about symptoms or can prescribe one or more of the Imaging test, Ultrasound, or pelvic exam. If your doctor does not find anything related to the disease he/she may prescribe some medicine.

Women should never ignore such kinds of symptoms or diseases because they create life within them and to create that life it is important for them to stay healthy and fit. If you ever feel uncomfortable with your health which can be related to pregnancy or periods you should not avoid talking to your doctor or waiting for it to end on its own. The life that creates life should be careful and disease-free.
