It is a challenge for many people to decide what to eat when they are trying to lose weight and working so hard for it. There are many theories related to weight loss diet but no one mentions that every kind of diet can’t be followed by everyone.
People should decide their diet during a weight loss according to their health conditions and should follow a proper diet to stay fit and keep working out to get the best results of their hard work.
People who can’t follow a strict diet or any particular diet due to time, work and health issues can follow these basic diets.
If you are a morning person and you like morning workouts, take time to eat something first. This is a myth that you should exercise on an empty stomach in order to lose weight. Sometimes, a totally fit person can also feel weak or can get spinning heads during the workout on an empty stomach. You can eat something light before the workout. You can have black coffee and dry fruits. Just make sure to give enough time to yourself after eating for your food to digest so that you don’t feel heavy or nauseous during the workout.
Avoid having too much fat or protein in the morning because it takes longer to digest while having something will help you feel full and energetic throughout the day. You can have combined nutrients of whole-grain bagel, banana, raisins, or liquid meals like smoothie or juice in the morning.
2- Midday Diet:
By the time of midday, your breakfast gets digested totally, so you will need to take a proper amount of calories which can help you to keep working.
In the midday meal, you should take 60% carbs, 20% protein, and 20% fat or you can just simply have 2 roti, any healthy vegetable with low fat, a bowl full of pulse and a high amount of salad. Do not just sit and work just after eating, take out time for your health and for the results that you are working hard for. Walk for a few minutes then you can drink a glass of water and work.
Those who work out midday should eat one or two hours before your workout, eat a balanced meal that’s around 300 to 400 calories.
3- Good night food:
It’s said that you should eat the lightest food at the time of your sleep. Eat very light food such as salad, or you can eat light oatmeal before sleeping. Also, you can have camomile or green tea before sleep, which helps in detoxifying the body, reducing stress and losing weight.
Dietician Harminder Kaur says “Don’t just depend upon these meals throughout the day. It is necessary to keep eating every two hours to give energy to your body. Do not eat anything junk. When you are hungry for an evening snack, eat fruits or homemade light snacks to refill and keep drinking a lot of water throughout the day”.
