New Delhi, January 12-On the occassion of birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand and 8th Foundation Day of Youth Of Medicoz, a marathon race was organised by King George Medical University (KGMU), Uttar Pradesh.
The event was inaugurated by KGMU Vice Chancellor, MLB Bhatt and the Assistant Professor of Ayodhya Medical College, Vijay Kumar. They offered flowers to the portrait of Swami Vivekanand and a personified of map of India or ‘Bharat Mata’.
Both made the participants of the marathon race, aware with the life and times of Swami Vivekanand.
A total of 154 doctors and medical students participated in the the marathon. KGMU’s Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor J.P. Singh and Head of Department, Trauma and Surgery, Professor Sandeep Tiwari also ran with the medical students to boost their morale.
The presentation of the event was by the National Advisor, Youth of Medicoz, Dr. Bhupendra Singh. The program was organised by Chief Coordinator, Youth of Medicoz, Anurag Agrawal. He, in the capacity of the event’s convenor, was assisted by a group of medical students.
At the end of the competition, Professor J.P. Singh, Narsingh Verma, Professor Sandeep Tiwari, Professor BK Ojha graced the closing ceremony by felicitating the winning medical students with medals and certificates.
