Satyendar Jain Inaugurates 300MA X-RAY Machine At Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Hospital

Health Minister Shri Satyendar Jain inaugurated the 300MA (milliampere-seconds) X-Ray machine in Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel hospital on Thursday.

Health Minister Shri Satyendar Jain inaugurated the 300MA (milliampere-seconds) X-Ray machine in Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel hospital on Thursday. This machine is a brand new addition to the health infrastructure of Delhi. Now, the hospital has a new addition to its healthcare facility. Previously this hospital had a 70MA (milliampere-seconds) X-RAY machine which was installed in the month of May 2021. Until October the radiology department had a conventional analogue X-RAY machine. The milliampere-seconds also commonly known as MA’s s is a measure of radiation produced over a set amount of time via an X-RAY tube. It directly influences the radiographic density. This process leads to an increase in the quantity of x-radiation, meaning more photons reach the detector and hence apparent structural density will decrease and the signal intensity will increase. This will lead to more accurate and clear results. The addition of this new technology will increase the capacity to treat the patients and this will also provide 24-hour emergency service. This new machine is fully digital as compared to the previous analogue machine.

On this occasion, Health minister Shri Satyendar Jain said that “this is an epitome of technologically advanced machines which are available in Sardar Vallabhbhai Hospital, providing 24-hour emergency services. This machine will benefit the mass population of Patel Nagar and other lakhs of people of Delhi as well”. He further added that “till October 2020 the Radiology Department had conventional X-RAY machines, in the view of upgrading radiology facility for better patient care a new 70 MA X-RAY machine was added in the month of May 2021 and now one more technologically advanced X-RAY machine of 300MA is installed in the hospital”.

He further added that “with the installation of this modern machine in the hospital more and more patients can be treated and they can get their accurate reports in less time”. The department of radiology was started in the year 2004 and at present Hospital is working with all the major specialities including medicines, surgery, paediatrics, gynaecology & obs, ophthalmology, ENT, Dermatology and orthopaedics.

This new advanced machine will prove to be a boon in the long run for lakhs of people residing in Patel Nagar and the west Delhi district.
