The total number of Covid-19 cases in India climbed up to 47, 54,357 on Sunday, including 973175 active cases, 3702595 discharged, and 78586 deaths.
A total of 10,71,702 samples have been collected for Covid-19 tested on Saturday in the country and a total of,62,60,928 samples have been tested up to 12 September 2020, according to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) data.

The Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Dr Harsh Vardhan also tweeted the Covid-19 update. The total fatality counts up to 1,114 in the last 24 hours across the country which leads to the total number of deaths to 78586 till now.

According to the Union Ministry Data, the national recovery rate is 77.88 percent calculated on Sunday.
India has seen an increase in conducting the Covid 19 tests, increasing from 30 tests in a day in the month of March to 32,000 tests in a single day, which was last reported on Friday in Haryana. And these are the figures of RT- PCR and Rapid tests conducted by the state Government.
The State’s additional chief secretary for health Rajeev Arora said, “The testing facilities were developed during the state of pandemic and about 70% is RT- PCR and about 30% is rapid tests which are being conducted”
Therefore in the testing process, the symptomatic patients are referred to RT-PCR testing and the asymptomatic patients are for rapid testing.
The worst affected states in the country are Maharashtra, which is badly hit by the infection counts a total of 2,71,934 active cases and 28,724 deaths. Where Andhra Pradesh has a total count of 96,191 active cases and 4,779 deaths and is among the worst-hit states in India.
Tamil Nadu reaches 47,918 active cases and 8,231 deaths due to the virus. And, Karnataka rises to 98,345 active cases and 7,067 fatalities due to coronavirus.
Delhi reports a total of 26,907 active cases and 4,687 deaths due to the Covid.
Currently, there are about 1386 patients are admitted at the ITBP- run Sadar Patel COVID care centre Hospital in Chattarpur. And a total of 2454 patients have been discharged after the treatment till now and 3921 patients admitted to the centre so far.
