Novel Coronavirus: India Confirms Third Case from Kerela; The Patient Travelled to Wuhan

New Delhi, February 3: Thiruvananthapuram, February 3: India has reported third confirmed case of Novel Coronavirus, from Kasargod district in Kerela. The person who contracted the virus had returned from Wuhan, just like the two before him.

“The patient has tested positive for Novel Coronavirus and is in isolation in the hospital. The patient is stable and is being closely monitored,” a statement released Press Information Bureau read saying that the patient had travelled to Wuhan, China.

However, Kerela’s Health Minister KK Shailaja has assured that the patient’s condition is stable.

“The patient is under treatment at the Kanjangad District Hospital in Kasaragod. The patient’s condition is stable,” she said.

The third case of the deadly virus comes wothin a day of the confirmation of second case, also from Kerela. The first case was reported on January 30.

Kerela has put around 2,000 people under observation at homes, hospitals and quarantine facilities.
