According to officials related to the matter said the PTI news agency on Thursday that besides Britain, there are 30 countries across the world that have now agreed to mutually honor India’s Covid-19 vaccine instrument. Still, there are many countries — including South Africa, Brazil, Bangladesh, Botswana, China, and some others in Europe — from where trippers will have to follow fresh measures, in addition to the obligatory Covid-19 protocols when they arrive in India. Hungary and Serbia are the rearmost additions to the list of countries who agreed to mutually honor India’s Covid-19 vaccination instrument, informed ministry of external affairs (MEA) prophet Arindam Bagchi last week. Bagchi said that the recognition of the vaccination instruments will feed to help people move across countries for education, business, tourism, and other effects in thepost-pandemic world.
The development comes days after the UK government decided to remove the demand of obligatory counterblockade for vaccinated Indian passengers after India raised its displeasure regarding the decision and assessed trip conditions on passengers from Britain in a tit-for-tat move. Soon later, Alex Ellis, British high manager to India, said in a tweet, “ No counterblockade for Indian trippers to the UK completely vaccinated with Covishield or another UK-approved vaccine from 11 October.”
Meanwhile, India on Thursday administered further than 27 lakh boluses of Covid-19 vaccines; with this, the number of vaccine boluses given so far across the country has crossed 97 crore. The Union ministry of health and family weal also said that the diurnal vaccination figures are anticipated to increase as the day-long final report is collected late at night.
On Wednesday, as numerous as boluses of Covid-19 vaccines were administered across the country. The ministry underscored that the vaccination drive is a tool to cover the most vulnerable population groups in the country from Covid-19 and that the crusade is being regularly reviewed and covered at the loftiest position.
