New Delhi, February 1: Govt made Slight increase in the outlay for health sector at 69,000 crore rupees for Health Budget 2020-21. Last year, it was less than Rs.63,000 crore. But the percentage increase in the health budget is 10.1% that is less than the previous year’s increase that was above 15%.
But Rs 35600 crores for nutritional programs has an unique opportunity to promote traditional cropping patterns that can provide adaptation benefits in addition to immense health benefits. To utilize this fund in positive direction Health and agriculture sectors need to work together. 4400 cr for clean air is much needed step as to prevent the degrading air index of Delhi.
Health Budget 2020 allocations :
- Agriculture sector & rural – 2.83 lakh Cr
- Health Sector — 69000 cr
- Swachh Mission — 12,300 cr
- Ind & Commerce –Rs 27300 Cr
- Transport infra – 1.7 lakh cr
- Renewable & power – RS 22000 cr
