Amid nationwide protest over the postponement of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET PG) 2022 examination, the National Board of Examinations (NBE) on Tuesday issued a notice stating that it will stick with the schedule and will conduct it on May 21, 2022 in a computer-based mode across the country.
The NBE also said that admit cards will be issued ‘batch-wise’ shortly. “Applicants for NEET PG 2022 are advised to check their applicant login accounts on NEET PG 2022 index page at NBEMS website natboard.edu.in and nbe.edu.in periodically for admit card,” the notice reads.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court has agreed to list the petition with regards to the postponement of NEET PG 2022. The petition is scheduled on May 13, 2022.
The decision to list the petition for NEET PG 2022 postponement for hearing was taken by a bench led by Justice DY Chandrachud.
This comes at a time when thousands of junior doctors and NEET aspirants are demanding the postponement of NEET PG 2022.
The NBE issued the notice hours after a delegation of doctors led by Dr Rohan Krishnan met Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandviya.
“OFFICIAL NOTICE IS OUT! Disappointed to inform you all of NBE’s decision of keeping NEET PG 2022 on 21st May 2022, as scheduled,” tweeted Dr Datta.
Dr Krishnan too shared the information on Twitter saying they are not ready to accept the decision. He went on to say that their fate is being decided by “ministers who is not even an MBBS.”
