As soon as the lockdown was announced, many companies quickly shifted to work from home wherever it was possible. However, many also abandoned their operations in an office space setting or when the Union and state governments required people to stay at home.

However, now, as these companies wonder whether to resume operations in the general office setting, the top management is grappling with tons of issues and health & safety concerns.

One of the major problems in front of employers and employees is whether or not close contact, even with asymptomatic patients, is a general cause for concern. Which includes claims that the fabric of clothes can carry the COVID-19 virus and disperse the same whenever and wherever it comes in contact with another surface.

Thankfully, now as the lockdown restrictions are slowly lifted, people can step out of their homes in their clothes with one added layer: a jumpsuit! These jumpsuits that are not only stylish and trendy but also COVID-19 virus-proof.

Nanochemiqs, an Indian brand, recently launched an antimicrobial and antiviral jumpsuit that has been developed with a unique combination of vesicle and silver technologies called ViroWipe JS01 textile treatment.

According to Sasha Bose – CEO, Nano Chemiqs – the key ingredient behind the jumpsuit is the nanotechnology that helps in reducing the viral & bacterial infectivity by up to 99.997%. This means, the nanotechnology treatment of the jumpsuit not only addresses but also reduces a vast number of public healthcare challenges that include movement/gathering of a large number of people.

“The nanotechnology treatment is a constant sterilization solution that protects the wearer against virus particulate matter from settling down. Moreover, as compared to untreated control fabric, the Nanochemiqs Viro Wipe JS01 textile treatment was tested and proved effective against key virus types such as – H1N1, H5N1, H7N9, 229E (COVID-19) and RSV. Further, the main ingredient in the formula had been registered with US TSCA and EPA and approved by them before the development stage of the jumpsuit was initiated,” Bose said.

This means, individually, the jumpsuit is 99.997%, 99.9996%, 99.92% and 99.92% effective against coronavirus, human influenza A, RSV and avian influenza A respectively. It’s durable up to 1 year with viral reducing properties and can be washed after every use. In fact, it has been created using 100% breathable cotton, thus it can be worn for long hours without causing odour problems.
