“If You Have Mild Symptoms, Just Stay At Home; But You Must Seek Medical Help For More Severe Symptoms”

According to the WHO, the most common symptoms of Covid-19 are fever, tiredness and a dry cough. Some patients may also have a runny nose, sore throat, nasal congestion and aches and pains or diarrhoea.

But, almost 80% of people who get COVID-19, experience only mild symptoms. These symptoms are as regular as a common cold.

So, when you should seek a medical help? When should you be worried? Mild symptoms like sore throat, cold, headache– can they be symptoms of Corona? Answer is yes or no. Some other diseases can also present with these symptoms, says Dr KK Handa, Chairman, Dept. of ENT & Head Neck Surgery, Medanta Medicity, Gurugram. Visiting a hospital is difficult in this lockdown time. So, for mild symptoms, he advises to stay at home, and if symptoms increase, seek immediate medical help, says he.
