Latest Health News, Healthcare News: Amid a rise in the number of Covid-19 cases in several countries around the world, the Karnataka government has mandated that the use of masks at cinema theatres and educational institutions will be mandatory. The state government has also asked sections of the population including the elders to avoid going to crowded places.

The state government has said that full vaccination will be compulsory at bars, restaurants, and pubs. Also, they will operate only up to the seating capacity for the New Year, celebrations for which should end by 1 am on January 1.

Revenue Minister R Ashoka said this while talking to reporters after holding a meeting with the officials of the Health and Disaster Management Departments. Ashoka also said that no decision has been taken on implementing fines for not wearing masks as of now.

Ashoka said that people are being advised to take a booster dose.

It is to be noted that celebration time on the occasion of New Year is limited to 1 am. Officials have stated that celebrations will not be allowed after this time.
