New Delhi: Indian Embassy in China said it is closely monitoring the evolving situation in China over Coronavirus outbreak, including advisories issued by the World Health Organization (WHO).
“The Indian Embassy has been receiving queries from Indians in Hubei province as well as their relatives in India in connection with the evolving situation of the corona virus epidemic in China. In this regard Embassy of India is in touch with relevant Chinese authorities in Beijing and Wuhan as well as Indians in Hubei Province, especially in Wuhan,” the Indian Embassy said in a statement.
“We are closely monitoring the evolving situation in China, including advisories issued by the World Health Organization (WHO) in this connection,” it added.
The embassy also added that the Chinese authorities have assured all assistance to residents of Wuhan, including food supply.
In addition, the embassy has started two hotlines for those who wish to get in touch with the Embassy in this regard: +8618612083629 and +8618612083617.
It also urged the Indians living in China to keep tracking its social media accounts for updates on this evolving situation.
Meanwhile, the World Health Organisation (WHO) has asked the travellers to keep informing about their health condition to their medical care provider.
“Stay healthy while travelling!
Avoid travelling if you have a fever and cough. If you have a fever, cough & difficulty breathing, seek medical care early and share previous #travel history with your health care provider. #coronavirus,” the WHO said in a statement.
