Breast Imaging Society Of India Conducted A 3-Day Mega Event: BISICON 2021

Experts from across the world participated in the knowledge sharing session.The event featured Mammography and Breast MRI workshops

The 8th Annual Conference of the Breast Imaging Society of India BISICON 2021 was organised by esteemed breast radiologists of Delhi-NCR through a virtual platform. More than 1500 delegates from India and abroad registered for this conference which was graced by many renowned International speakers who are luminaries in the field of breast imaging and interventions.

Honorable Union Minister of Women and Child Development, Mrs Smriti Irani; CMD of Medanta Hospital, Gurgaon, Dr Naresh Trehan and Founder President of BISI, Col CS Pant inaugurated the event. President BISI Dr Niranjan Khandelwal, Organising Chairperson Dr Smriti Hari and Organising secretary Dr Jyoti Arora were also present to grace the occasion.

During the Inauguration, Mrs Smriti Irani congratulated the organizers and delegates to have the stalwarts working in the field of female reproductive health under one roof. She mentioned the success of breast and cervical screening program under the scheme of Ayushman Bharat.

The rich experience and knowledge of experts from across our country and the world were shared during the conference. The pre-conference day featured Mammography and Breast MRI workshops. The scientific sessions have covered all aspects of breast imaging.

During Inauguration, Dr Jyoti mentioned that the theme of BISICON 2021 was ‘Together towards Tomorrow’, in which the latest developments in the field of Breast Imaging were discussed, including the scope and potential of Artificial Intelligence in early detection of breast cancer. Dr Smriti Hari mentioned highlight of the conference being the interactive online workshops dedicated to mammography positioning, mammography and MRI interpretation. Such events will help our Indian radiologists to keep themselves updated with cutting edge technology, latest clinical protocols which will help patients get optimal patient care.
