Avni is a young start-up focused on detoxifying menstrual care while empowering women. It offers well-researched, innovative, tested products to facilitate women hygiene during periods. It was founded in April 2021 in Thane, Maharashtra. What is AVNI, when it came into existence, and other details?

We got the idea for the brand after having an unpleasant experience with commercially available sanitary pads, which cause rashes, irritation, and skin infection. Moreover, the long-term exposure to plastic and chemicals harms the reproductive system, not to mention the negative impact on the environment and the subsequent bacterial exposure to sanitation workers.

As a digital-first D2C brand, Avni has a presence on its website www.myavni.com, and on major e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, OneGreen, ThePinkBox, Smytten, and Woovly. Avni also has 26 retail outlets in southern India. Furthermore, it is actively collaborating with NGOs and menstrual educators across India to provide education, awareness, and product distribution in rural India.
