He recently open up about it during a fun Question and Answer session on Twitter. “I have tried black water a few times but I don’t drink it regularly. But we do drink alkaline water at home,” he said in a video shared on the microblogging site. The cricketer also answered ‘his most searched questions.’ Not just Kohli, his wife Anushka Sharma, Malaika Arora, Shruti Haasan, and Karan Johar prefer alkaline or black water over normal water. What is alkaline water?
Water that has been ionized or whose pH level has been increased is known as alkaline water. For the uninitiated, the pH level indicates how acidic or alkaline a substance is. The pH level is generally measured on a scale of 0 to 14. If the pH level of any substance is 1 it is very acidic and if the same is 13 it is very alkaline.

The normal tap water has a pH level of 7 i.e. neutral. On the other hand, the pH level of alkaline water is around 8 or 9.
