Actor Rajiv Kapoor Passes Away Due To Heart Attack At Age 58

Actor Rajiv Kapoor has passed away following a heart attack. He was 58. Randhir Kapoor told Times of India that he rushed his brother to Chembur’s Inlaks Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.

Rajiv’s sister-in-law, Neetu Kapoor expressed her remorse on his passing in an Instagram post.

Dr. Pawan Suri, Chief Cardiologist at SGL Super Speciality Hospital said, “The key factors for heart attacks are high cholesterol, high triglyceride, stress, family background, high blood pressure, consumption of tobacco and alcohol, high sugar levels, lack of exercise, obesity, low intakes of fibre, low consumption of antioxidants.”

“Individuals who lead a high-profile life, often suffers from mental pressure. Stress causes many health problems that affect the body’s hormonal balance, which can lead to irritability, frustration, changes in behavior and psychology, diabetes, high BP, etc. All of these lead to variables that make a person vulnerable to heart disease and heart attacks. Heredity, too, plays a significant role,” said Dr Suri.

He further added, “Many young people with elevated LDL cholesterol and high triglycerides are better treated with diet and exercise enhancements. Modifying your diet to a more heart-friendly one: Attempting to switch your daily diet to a healthier one will help regulate the amount of cholesterol to some extent.”

“Saturated fats found mainly in red meat and full-fat dairy products can exacerbate cholesterol levels. By limiting or moderating saturated fats, the control of cholesterol levels can be enhanced,” he said.
