When you’re roaming all over the town in the heat, you may observe that your skin starts looking very oily till midday. This happens because throughout the day dirt, makeup and oils build up on your skin that is why you should cleanse your skin morning and night as part of your skincare routine. If you are traveling or busy with a lot of work, reach out for a no-rinse cleansing option such as cleansing water. It will help you to save a lot of time and also maintain your skin. The cleansing water purifies, mattifies, hydrates and soothes your skin. It also removes the most stubborn long-lasting makeups.

SUMMER SKIN CARE MISTAKE 02: AVOIDING EXFOLIATING?

If you spent a day in the sun and heat and notice your skin is looking dry, that’s a signal for you to exfoliate. The pollution in the air, dirt, the harsh UV rays and the sunscreen can leave you with a layer of dead skin cells. Thus, it is advised to exfoliate your skin twice a week. It can help you to maintain your skin by keeping your complexion bright and tan free. Too much of exfoliation can also cause damage. So, do not overdo it.

If you feel that your skin appears oilier during summers, do not take out moisturizing from your skincare routine. As an alternative, find a lightweight moisturizer that can suit your skin this season. Also, harsh summer rays remove all the moisture from your skin, so to keep your skin healthy hydrate your skin with a good moisturizer. You can also try using aloe Vera or hyaluronic acid that helps to keep the lipid barriers of the skin intact.

Even though sun protection is on top of your mind in your skincare regimen, you should think about it more often in summer as the heat rises more. So, if you skip out applying sunscreen and take other sun protection measures during the summers, it’s time to add sunscreen to your skin care routine. Also, if you’re applying it once in the morning and thinking it’s enough then you’re wrong. Even if you’re applying it in a required amount in the morning, you need to re-apply it every three hours. Re-applying the sunscreen can help you from hyper pigmentation and photo-aging.

During summer a lot of people love outings and for that they rush through their skincare routine, just to spend more time outside. You might overlook certain parts of your body when it comes to sun protection such as ears, feet and lips. Therefore, invest some time to apply broad-spectrum sunscreen to all the exposed areas. Also, pack the bottle of sunscreen and accessories in your bag to cover up before heading out for the day. Your skin will definitely thank you!
